My rendering is of 3 trumpeter & tundra swans & 2 baby swans resting on mama’s back. Alaska swans travel over 4,000 miles to arrive in Spring. The collar band does not hurt the swan. It helps scientist to better understand these beautiful birds. It allows them to trace the origins of the bird, learn its age and family history and migration trends.
